Atlas
Our Atlas programme provides a highly specialised learning environment for learners with complex needs who require significant personalised support. The provision is led by an experienced multi-disciplinary team, including therapists, specialist care staff, and SEND practitioners, who work closely with families and professionals to ensure consistent, responsive support.
Learning is closely aligned to Preparing for Adulthood (PfA) outcomes and focuses on developing independence, communication, wellbeing, and meaningful engagement in day-to-day experiences.
Learners are supported to:
- Build independence: Through structured routines, sensory-informed approaches, and personalised life-skills activities that help learners participate in daily tasks and make choices.
- Improve health and wellbeing: With therapeutic input, regulation strategies, and safe, consistent care that enables learners to engage positively and sustain routines.
- Develop communication: Using specialist methods such as AAC, sensory communication, and personalised interaction approaches to express preferences and connect with others.
- Experience community involvement: Through carefully planned opportunities that promote confidence, familiarity, and engagement beyond the classroom.
Every small step of progress is celebrated and used to shape future learning, ensuring each learner moves towards greater independence and an improved quality of life.
