Role Purpose

This role is for a dynamic Talent Acquisition Assistant who is ambitious and ready to make an impact. You will play a key role in supporting the company’s talent acquisition efforts. You will work closely with the recruitment manager as well as other external stakeholders to source and screen top talent for various positions within our provision.

Role Responsibilities

• Source candidates through various channels
• Screen resumes and conduct initial phone interviews to assess candidate qualifications and fit for open positions.
• Coordinate and schedule interviews with the recruitment team and candidates.
• Assist with posting job descriptions on relevant platforms.
• Maintain accurate and up to date records in the applicant tracking system.
• Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Skills and Abilities

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within cross functional environment
• Proficiency in using LinkedIn, job boards (e.g., Indeed, Glassdoor), and applicant tracking systems (ATS).
• Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines while managing a high volume of candidates.
• Build good rapport with potential candidates, hiring managers, and team members.
• Strong networking skills to establish connections with top talent.
• Ability to troubleshoot challenges like hard-to-fill roles, unresponsive candidates, or shifting hiring needs.
• Maintain confidentiality with sensitive candidate and company information.
• Ensure safer recruitment practices are being followed.

• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and other recruitment software

Experience and Qualifications 

• Proven experience in talent acquisition/recruitment (Agency or internal)
• Strong understanding of recruitment strategies and best practices.
• Strong initiative and a proactive approach: ability to work independently and autonomously.
• Organised: able to prioritise workloads effectively, work to deadlines and maintain pace and output.
• Familiarity with employment laws and hiring regulations.
• Minimum Level 2/GCSE English and Maths qualifications
