Who We Are

Navigators supports children and young people, and their families whose unique needs are not being met by current educational settings.  We work collaboratively with our students, harnessing the power of their interests and fostering meaningful interactions to engage and inspire them.  We are dedicated to equipping our students with the essential tools they need to thrive socially, ethically, academically and in life, setting the stage for a promising future.

Navigators Staff Hub is based in Salford Quays. We also have a number of nurturing, therapeutic learning centres Greater Manchester wide for both our alternative provision and college students.

Founded in 2014 by Anthony Thompson.

“We believe that alternative provision really should be alternative, as you cannot replace school with school. We work on the principle that children are individuals and therefore all interventions should be individual. Not all interventions will work, and we believe that the one step backwards is just as important as the two steps forward. We look to recruit the best compassionate and empathetic staff to make a difference to the lives of vulnerable children, young people and their families. As a looked after child myself, I understand how important this should be in the influencing years of a child’s life. We put the child at the centre of everything we do and we use a specialist three step approach to find a path to success and it’s hard transformative results.” Anthony Thompson, CEO & Strategic Lead.
